Spinach Avocado in Seed Boats

So I decided to try something new. I wanted to include spinach, 'cause I love spinach. And I was thinking about a 'holder' (like bread or a wrap) and decided to try to dehydrate something that would hold mushy things.

So I soaked sunflower seeds, added spices and some ground flak, formed into odd shapes 'boats' and dehydrated. Ok, some I just ( Read more... )

Perhaps using sprouted buckwheat either in addition to or in place of the sunflower seeds for the boats. Also if you grind the flax seed in a coffee mill before mixing it into the "dough" you get the benefits of binding and a smoother texture. Only thing is that it doesn't keep as long as whole flax seeds do. But with the yummy quality of your recipes I doubt that is much of a problem ;D

Also too, maybe adding olives, sundried tomatoes and/or dates for a little kick to mellow the green...

I have to tell you though. That last picture on the plate is amazingly beautiful! Like out of a cookbook. Good luck in the new variations? Perhaps something red? Like Tomato?

wait I just brainstormed! Perhaps like a gaucamole type thing? Lime, tomato onions and avocado?
