It was only a matter of time. It probably didn't happen sooner because of the shitty state of the animation department (enter Pixar and now amazingly they are functioning respectably again) And it was pathetically "safer" to transition into ethnicities via asian/arabic.

I find the support of New Orleans respectable. The demographic/marketing is unavoidable - they are a company trying to make a profit after all - they aren't here for charity.
