So from the collection of "random things on the internet that delighted me today," I bring you BabyLit Books. Versions of classic novels in board book format for the average toddler, I suspect more of these books will be found in adult book collections than on childrens' bookshelves. Look, I'm not saying I wouldn't let my two-year-old look at these books, but let's face it, she's not the one I'd be buying them for.
Clicking on the cover will take you to the amazon page, which you really should check out just to try the "look inside" feature. These books are thoroughly charming, in both tone and illustration. Also you can learn your numbers, shapes, and colours!
They'll be adding to the collection in September, when
Dracula and
A Christmas Carol will be published. So what other classic novels would you love to see turned into an awesome board book?
