I hadn't given this book much thought BECAUSE of the pretty cover (I've been burnt too often in the past), so I'll have to take a look now!

I'm with calico here in not giving the book much thought because of the cover. So wary of YA these days. If it's a new to me author and not free (ie picked up at BEA, sent to me), a cover isn't enough. But you have me interested in this one - 4 cups, and delightful? Hmm. The only thing I'm worried about is the not-as-strong main pairing. The romance can make or break a story for me.

I read Entwined, and while I thought parts of it were lovely and well written, I think Wildwood Dancing by Juliet Marillier was a more interesting retelling.

But the cover of Entwined is divine!

The Twelve Dancing Princesses has always been one of my all-time favorite fairytales. Knowing there's complex family relationships, too--something I love but hardly see in YA--makes me want to check out this book even more!
