Yesterday I replaced the G string on my violin... God it sounds sooo much better. It was this terribly old (in fact, the one that was on my violin when it emerged fromm a garage in NH after who knows how many years...) string that I had put back on after breaking an other. And now that I know how nice it can sound, I've gone and ordered new

I saw the most awesome fungus-culture-on-a-pita the other day, all multi-coloured. I should have taken pictures before dumping it into the compost.
