I've had a good few days! My Dutch friends arrived, I finished my essay (unfortunately in that order), went to the doctor and got better meds, we went to Birmingham. This is the world I grew up in. I remember the never-ending (most noticeably winter) power-cuts, the dock-workers on strike - my dad worked down the docks but I was personally more impacted by the impossibility of getting bananas - the schools closing, straitened times, the pink paraffin (kerosene) stove. My hands and arms are much better at last, since I upset them a month ago by using Kevin's normal mouse for 20 minutes. I can do things like typing and driving and digging small holes in the garden again.
