Ok, so it's now about 10 days after my birthday. Just about everything that I  got for my birthday this year came in the form of money. Which leaves me a quandry: What to spend it on ( Read more... )

Happy Birthday! nieboer June 3 2006, 19:49:36 UTC
Sorry I'm late, pal--I've been out of town about four weeks out of the last five, it seems. The jet-lag is killing me... ;)

Sounds like you're having a good time, though. I'm afraid I can't suggest anything for you to spend it on, relatively unfamiliar as I am with anime... but I'm sure you'll find something really cool... :)

I guess that's about it from this end--take care of yourself, pal, and I'll talk to you later... :)

Thank you :) Maybe it's a Washington thing with being late on Birthdays?? Grandma was late again this year as well with her card... she's late pretty much every year...and now you're being pulled in :P

For the most part, I had a good time. Spent it at home with family, then came back to GR. The rest of the night was a loss, as the roomie, who plans stuff far better than me, got hauled down to near Kalamazoo to fix an issue.. Oh well.

Gotta love the jet lag. At least they're not sending you to Thailand or China every 3rd week, I hope? That's what they did to my dad from about October to April. Hopefully they'll let you be at home for a while this time... until the next trip ;)

Someday we need to chat on IM again...

Take care!!

El Hazard is a massively underrated comedy series.

Ranma 1/2 is a classic that folks should just own.

Thanks for the input :) Finally got a response that was on topic :P

Never heard of El Hazard. I'll have to look it up, see what it's about and stuff. Ranma we did waaay back a long time ago, and I was only so/so on the series...

We watched the first couple eps of El Hazzard once at AN. It didn't go over that great. Not really sure why. I have the whole series if you want to check it out. I never quite made it through the whole thing. It's on my list of things to watch once I get the chance.

comedy anime even? :) filozofer June 13 2006, 18:08:05 UTC
I can't remember the name, but it's that anime that is a bit of a spoof/satire...she sings about eating the dog in the end credits and she's fiercely devoted to her evil crime boss... someone help me on this?
