It was probably for the best that Evan hadn't actually changed this weekend. As great as he remembered his childhood being, he really didn't have much in the way of coping skills as a little boy. Her mind wasn't so different, though, because it never was.
Most of her day had been spent playing in her room by herself but, come evening, she had felt like company. The stairs had been pretty daunting to someone her size, especially with her limp, but she made it up eventually.
"Hello, Evan," Yeul said, peeking her head into his room.
