It was probably for the best that Evan hadn't actually changed this weekend. As great as he remembered his childhood being, he really didn't have much in the way of coping skills as a little boy. Yeul had changed, at least in the sense of getting much, much smaller than usual.

Her mind wasn't so different, though, because it never was.

Most of her day had been spent playing in her room by herself but, come evening, she had felt like company. The stairs had been pretty daunting to someone her size, especially with her limp, but she made it up eventually.

"Hello, Evan," Yeul said, peeking her head into his room.

It took a moment for Evan to recognize the tiny face that was peering into his room, but she was familiar enough even if she didn't look the same way on a reunion weekend.

"Yeul?" Evan blinked as he set down his book. "... Is this another weird weekend?"

"Maybe," she said agreeably, pushing his door open a bit more and making her way inside. "It didn't hurt."

Yeul thought he might like to know that.

"Caius wouldn't like it though."

Because tiny, tiny Yeul was even more fragile than her grown-up self!

"Well... at least it didn't hurt," Evan offered, and then smiled a little, watching her toddle into his room. Oh man, could she get any cuter? "Would you like help up onto the other bed to sit down?"
