That bridge was such a clusterfuck!
The part where Colbert is all "There are people in the trees." He says it so calmly! Ooh Iceman. Why are you so awesome?

Also Fick and Person were amazing for just walking around with bullets flying by! Person yelling for them to backup and then Fick telling them all what to do.

I can't believe how just when Rudy bends over to look at Pappy's foot the bullet goes right through the windshield! Rudy is one lucky bastard!

I feel bad for Walt. It was sad how Colbert was trying to get him to get some sleep and he was trying to use a new technique with the warning shots and then that happens. Poor guy.

And why does Fick always look like a kicked puppy?! Colbert needs to give him a hug!

I loved both of those instances. Esp. Person's, "COULD YOU ALL BACK THE FUCK UP?!" Really. I honestly don't know what kept them there at that point. Then I think Fick said comms were screwed and he probably couldn't get word to them so he had to go there himself. I know when these guys have a mission (Marines or any other BOS), no matter how bad the shit is, they stay where they are.

I posted rambling thoughts in my journal, but I'll agree very different tone and we were definitely more distanced from the men in this one. The closest we got to the kind of bond we saw before was with Rudy and Pappy...and then Pappy got shot. I wonder if it's the fact that a female director did the first few and so we got more of the relationships and now that a male director has taken over we're getting more of the badass action scenes. (I may be getting horrendously sexist here, though

Now I want to write 'Colbert discovers Walt and Gabe going at it' fic. And, of course, 'Colbert and Fick meet in Australia on shore leave/summer break and have dirty, antagonistic, hot pre-series sex.'

The prospect of these fics being written is making me giddy and high. Do it! :D

Person had some good lines in this one. The thing about his mom taking him to nascar. And the famous marines scene was pretty awesome. Stevie wonder, blind as a motherfucker. Oh yeah, and Starbucks being the new reason for the war.

I liked when Colbert told Person not to set his face on fire again. What was he singing before he shot those dudes?

There was some serious Colbert/Fick eyefucking in this episode too. I thought I saw it anyway.
