I am a wuss.

:P Been feeling poorly today and yesterday but got through a big series of xrays. Not sure what they will tell the doc, but the radiologist told me that she still saw a lot of inflammation. I'm off the steroids tho, so glad of that...or maybe that's why I'm hurtin' I don't know. Anyway, yay for weekend ( Read more... )

*hugs back* Yeah, Scott took it in stride, he maybe said, "ouch" once... While I screamed said things like emergency room and got tunnel vision... :)

This morning it looks like nothing happened, but he iced it a bit because it was tender... I couldn't look. :)

Eeeeek! Am glad to hear that he's been bandaged up - still, just ouch to the thought of nail through a finger. *squishes*

Yeah it went through and into the next finger... ok, that's about all i can talk about it without getting light headed again! :) He's fine this morning, looks almost like nothing happened so that's good.

My brother worked in rough carpentry for a while, and he came home one day with a nail through not 1, but 2 fingers... it looked like a finger shish-ka-bob. Now that I have shared my equally gross story with you, I will tell you that he had no lasting damage to the fingers. I am also a total wuss when it comes to my own blood. I could watch someone lose an arm and not bat an eye, but if I cut myself open, I'm on the ground in shock.

I was thinking that they were taking you through the steroids really fast for the doseage that they started you on. Your body needs time to adjust, and start making it's own cortisol again, or your flare starts over. I know I told you to get off of them as soon as possible, but maybe that was too fast... 6 pills a day is the maximum dose that it is safe to give you, and to go from that to nothing this quick is prolly what has you feeling bad. I'm no doc, but I have had that happen to me too.

Well it was more like, started at 6 for 2 days, then 5 for 2 days... and down, so it was a gradual withdraw. Still taking 8 of the pentasa a day though. I go back in to see him soon, now that he has the xrays to look at, so I guess we'll see what he says. :P

*shudders at your brother's shishkabob story*

Awww *hugs* I'm sorry about you hurting and Scott hurting himself, but I can just see you freaking out and Scott having to calm you down. lol :)

Yeah it was very silly... He felt bad I was crying and kept asking if I was ok... I'm like, "You're the one that is hurt! I should be taking care of you! But I can't! What if we get in a real emergency..." insert hyperventilation there... *eyerolls at self*

I can't imagine Manda panicking about anything! I'm glad he's alright though.

Yeah I do ok until there is one itty bitty bit of blood and then I come unhinged... it's rather sad really...
