My Brother-in-law has Crohns. Not fun! Take care of yourself, okay?

I will :) I'm hoping it's a mild case. I have a friend at work who's had a pretty severe version and I really hope it doesn't get to that point. Got a cookbook yesterday so I'll be making some adjustments that I hope help in the long run.

Glad you're doing okay post-procedure! Yay, answers, but I hope it's something less annoying to caretake than Crohn's.... All best wishes.

p.s. This isn't a random flyby--formerly you knew me under a different lj name. :P *assimilates*

Right now it's heavy on anti-inflammatories, so that's not so bad. And i think that's the case when ever there's an attack, you just have to deal with getting the inflammation down and you can go back to normal.

Ok, I've been LJ dead for awhile so you'll have to enlighten me as I missed the change over!

I am so glad that they may have nailed down the cause and you are being treated for it now. There is a website with a ton of good info about Crohns and Colitis : http://www.ccfa.org/ , that has really helped me out of over the past 6 years.

If you have some time, I would like to chat with you about some things that have really worked for me (with my Ulcerative Colitis). The two conditions are treatable in just about the same way except Crohns effects the whole bowel, and mine only effects the colon. Regardless, I have been to a bunch or different specialist over the years, and have gleamed some pretty good tips from each. If your available, I will be back online tonight around 8pm or so on yahoo.

Hope to see you then! Feel better soon Manda!

Yeah I looked there last night and a few other sites. Went out to Barnes and Noble and found a Crohn's and Colitis cook book that has a lot of good info in it and a lot of low fiber low residue recipes along with a bunch of random tips. I'm reading through the info sections now.

I should be on later so I'll try to grab you on Yahoo because it would be nice to talk. I know having a support system for something like this is probably really helpful :) We'll be IBD buddies!

I have a good friend with Crohn's and she has it well under control. If it turns out to be Crohn's and you would like to talk to someone about it, let me know!
Good luck with all of this!

That's good to hear your friend manages well :) It helps to know and yeah, I'm for talking when I know more. :P I wish I had gotten in to see this doc before Terminus, I would have felt so much better! Thanks for dropping a line, it's good to hear from you :)

There is a chance I will see you before the Crystal Ball. If my schedule allows, I might be visiting Olek in Dayton the weekend of HPHP, so maybe I will see you then!
