Ah, yes, prep work. The number one reason why I haven't run my Deadlands campaign in months. I need to deal with the second half of that encounter in the meantime.
I like that Deadlands doesn't have alignments, but I must admit to being very annoyed that a party of Pinkerton's I'm in has decided to become Evil for no readily observable reason, and with no obvious consequences. Although, we just killed someone for no reason in front of witnesses in CANADA (so waaaay out of our jurisdiction) so there probably will be consequences. Maybe we didn't go Evil so much as Stupid.
You will have to tell us about your Crazy little Goblin after an intro like that, by the way. On which note - do you read the webcomic Goblins? It's...well, honestly, extremely depressing. But I think you might like it.

So I added in Wolia, fairly normal stats plus one nifty at will and some flavor. She's a tiny goblin sleeping on the chief's belly clutching a dagger almost as big as she is.
and her standard attack is latching on. Face is possible (causing blindness) other wise legs (slow + daze). She never did latch onto anyone's face but by latching onto legs she bought enough time for the chief to get behind his minions and make the fight interesting.
as to the goblins web comic, I used the read it, the early strips are great, but lately it's been meh.

I hear the author of Goblins has promised that one day it really will be funny again. But yeah, I get what you're saying.
