I put mine under a cut because I use Twitter enough that people would have to scrooooll and scroll some more if I didn't put them under a cut. I don't like posting any long entries on my journal without a cut, it just irks me.
yes. you would be that one person. :) you do use twitter enough that i know it's always worth clicking the cut tag, and i remember to hit your lj if i think i've missed a day, and i understand why you're doing it (er, not that i need to understand. but i get that it isn't a sop to community disapproval).
See, thank you for posting this! I wish you'd post into my entry about it from this morning, if only to be the lone voice of dissent. I know I was being a little caustic in my LJ about it, sorry. I didn't mean to offend. If I meant to offend and *not* discuss, I wouldn't have allowed comments
( ... )
I do on my desktop, but not my laptop and not on my iPhone (cannot on the latter, too sludgy on the former). I'll look for the Greasemonkey script. My guess is that is where it's to be found?
I like other people's loudtwitter posts, though, because I do miss things, and it's a good way to catch up. Whether people cut or don't isn't something that fazes me one way or the other, though. I guess if people are cutting because of external pressure from their flist... I think that's ridiculous, actually, but I think it's ridiculous when people ask others to cut because their entries are 'too long', too, and it bundles in with that. (So you have to scroll further to get past it; what's the deal? etc. etc.)
I didn't realise that people had such a (violent?) dislike of loudtwitter, heh.
I just recently gave up the LoudTwitter because the effort of changing the jokes and non-sequiturs every night (because I can't just DO a thing) got in the way of my freaking out over other stuff.
