I agree. Whatever its orientation, another couple's marriage does not threaten or diminish the value of my own. The idea of denying marriage rights to homosexuals as a means of "protecting the sanctity of marriage" holds little sway when one considers the divorce rate amongst heterosexual couples.

My veiws on gay marriage are odd, and I won't expound on them.

However, I do agree that the self-righteous are taking a look at completely the wrong thing when it comes to the sanctity of marriage. Hearing one rant for hours about two guys marrying while not saying a word about Britney Spears' 55 hour marriage gets awkward.

Here's hoping that we'll be saying "Boy, that's dated. This seems like longer ago than it really was." about same-sex marriage really soon.

Personaly.. I think marrage is a farce anyways. But hey.. if people want to take that route.. no matter what they are or who they wish to marry... more power to them. Why stop to guys or two chicks from tieing the knott if they wanna?
