Nice. Too bad we couldn't have gotten that scene from Joss.

Thanks! I love these little fill-in-the-blanks scenes for that very purpose. :)

Oooh, nice! I like pissed off Dawn confronting Spike, not only about the AR, but because he left without saying goodbye. I really missed the Dawn&Spike friendship in the later seasons. Thank you for sharing this.

Hey! thanks for commenting. So glad you enjoyed! Sorry to have not responded for so long... LJ was on the fritz and sent me only spotty comment notifications. And I know what you mean about Spike-n-Dawn. They were one of my favorite dynamics on the show, but they didn't get much screentime.

If only we could have had something like that on screen. Those two needed to clear the air between them because you knew they still meant so much to each other. Very nice.

Le sigh. A little scene for us friendship folk is too much to ask. :)

I've seen several versions of this now. Wrote one, too. Most of them are worse than this, I'd say.

Very interesting how almost all of them involve some version of "'I know I can't be sorry enough.' 'Ok, that's good, I can deal with that.'"

"Most of them are worse than this, I'd say." Extra points for not quite faint praise. :) I think the Spike-n-Dawn void from the last season is one many of us are anxious to fill.

I think the formula you mention might be a character move. Spike is a self-lacerator... every night he saves you, you know? And Dawn is prickly and defensive. The abjectness might go a ways toward defusing that.

PS: The icon is creepy-fab.

LOL This is a pretty good one. It seems a little unpolished to me, but it's tough to work out exactly how, so I didn't bring it up. It feels a little...abrupt, too. My Dawn took weeks to come to terms with it.

Oh, and thanks. It's from an old game, Star Control II; the spider-thing is an alien called an Ilwrath. They're over-the-top kitschy evil; they worship the twin gods of evil Dogar and Kazon. I use this one as a bit of a joke. (Here's my only other one so far--look close; it's not who you think.)

Yeah... I have a besetting sin of writing little fill-in-the-blanks. This was meant as one small step in a process that would never be completed, due to sudden flamy death. Thanks for taking the time to give good crit, not once but twice!

Yay for campy evil! For the most part, I have no skills and need others to do icons for me. This is the only one I ever managed ot make myself. :)
