Nick and Cody don’t know, but Murray works late studying books on the ocean and the wind.
To Nick, the wind is both ally and adversary, and he knows how to make it work for him and with him, though sometimes he has to fight with it to land safely.
For Cody, the ocean will always be a dear friend, though it sometimes perplexes and annoys him. Whether he’s at sea or studying old sailing charts, he is secure.
When they comment on his intelligence, Murray wants to laugh. They have no idea how much he envies them their power.
