Heh, Yu-Gi-Oh GX is, in my opinion, very awesome. The first season is a bit on the cracky side, but it starts getting more intense in some ways about the middle of season 2 onward, what with an eldritch abomination wanting to destroy all life as we know it (which is what this refers to subtly. Saioh Takuma, the Saioh-sama Manjoume mentions, is possessed by the eldritch abomination known as the Light of Ruin. Manjoume is being brainwashed there.), the hero flipping out in third season and being genocidal, hermaphrodites (well, just one), space dolphins, killer satellites, ghosts, etc. etc.

And I'm not making any of that up.
