Sometimes Tim loves that he’s the smart one. Loves writing the new programs, doing something extraordinary. He loves the rush when he sees admiration on Abby’s, or even Gibbs’ face. Most of all he loves computers; they speak his language even when no one else can.
And sometimes he hates it, always being the outsider. Hates that he’s only a glorified tech to Vance and just a geek to Tony. He hates that this thing that makes him special also manages to exclude him from the kind of respect he craves.
This love and hate it makes him who he is.
