RIP Logan

We had to put our Boxador to sleep today.  He was 13 years old, had cancer, and the past couple of days had been deteriorating quickly.  He'd stopped eating, and could barley get up.  He was a rescue dog about eleven years ago, days away from being euthanized when my brother adopted him, and then gave him to us shortly thereafter.  He was one of ( Read more... )

Thanks bb. It's been a rough couple of weeks with him sick, having to give medicine, wondering when we should just let him go. I agree, they really are part of the family. He was my daughter's baby, slept in her room, followed her around. She's taking it pretty hard. It breaks my heart more to see my girl so broken up over it.

*hugs back*

I am so, so terribly sorry for your loss. We had to put our car down and although I was quite young I remember how heartbreaking it was for all of us. I'm glad you had so many wonderful memories with Logan that will keep him alive in your hearts. He'll always be with you. &hearts

Thank you, love. It's been a stressful couple of weeks between work and this.

It's heartbreaking, but he gave us a lot, and we'll always have that.

*hugs*

Which is why he'll never be forgotten. *hugs*

(and *cat. Hopefully that was clear because I didn't want you thinking I compared your loss to the loss of a car.)

Funny thing is, my mind must have glossed right over the typo because for some reason the word "car" didn't even register and I knew you meant cat. No worries! :)

Thank you, bb. It's not easy, but we had to do it. He could barely stand up anymore. He gave us a lot of love, and we'll always have him in our hearts.
