Hm, I would just exercise common sense here. Think about what you would look for in a roommate ad and then put the same material in yours: name, age, occupation, level of quiet/cleanliness, a hobby or two, whether you're smoking or non-smoking or will bring a pet or not. I wouldn't go tl;dr right away until the person emailed you back asking for more information - not more than a short paragraph or two at most.

You're right, I'm definitely overthinking this thing. I'm kind of half-heartedly sending out inquiries (I wouldn't hold out for someone who wasn't currently in the country, no matter how awesome they sounded) now, but I'm sure I'll have more luck once I'm on the ground there.

No dice, since I'm not actually affiliated with the university in any way, shape, or form. Still! I'm going to send out some inquiries when I get home from practice tonight and hopefully this'll lead to something.

My Couchsurfing seems to be a lot more successful, though. :D
