Yeah. One of the most powerful things a counselor ever did was, when I'm going on about what my dad said and she looked me dead in the yes and said 'he lied' So sometimes realising someone was lying is a Very good thing. The lies themself, that's what you're referring to I take it. Yeah, survival can be hard
I feel this. Part of the blow up with my parents was the fact they were lying about/for the woman who is living with them. At one point the woman owned THREE houses and didn't live in a single one. They told people she would move out when she could afford her own house ... they said she was moving out, it's only temporary! She's been there TEN YEARS.
The stories you've told about your mom, your dad, and this lady just BLOW ME AWAY!
I think I resent how much liars make EVERYONE ELSE have to explain things! Things are so simple when there is no lying or alternate realities happening. But once lies are introduced, things get so complicated and it always puts a situation into a defensive one and adds this idea that "anyone could be lying" to the situation and "what really happened" or "who really knows?" and it is the absolute WORST because that never stops even when the lies are uncovered and proven! UGH!

Sometimes when we stop trusting people... we forget to stop believing them.

I don't think I want to see it. I'll take you at your word. Been a victim of it and none of it was a choice for me. Ugh
