I loooove it. It was awesome. I really like seeing helpless/protective Dean.

The paths he chooses are foreign and marred with impediments. He walks them without ever glancing back.

I love that :) Great story.

The heat consumes them both now and Dean wonders how Sam has held out so long against the encroaching flames. He was raised to have ice in his veins, and even he is melting.

Great line. Well, there were lots of great lines, but this was just one of the ones that begged to be quoted again. Awesome story. Painful, but good. :)

That was what I pictured: a demon they couldn't really fight but that still had ultimate power. And Sam between them, the way he's always been "the one their determined to protect at any cost." I'm so glad you got that. :)
