The Siege of White Deer Park is, I believe, the fifth in the Animals of Farthing Wood series, by Colin Dann. It was never adapted into the animated series, which is a pity, because it's very interesting and Adder appears a lot. I really want to read about Adder and Sinuous now! :D The mere idea of her dying fills me with frustration because perfect couples like that just shouldn't be destroyed. Adder deserves some happiness, too.

Overall, I get the feeling that the books are somewhat more mature and grim than the cartoon. *gets an idea and randomly checks the archives of the library back home* Well, what do you know. They have the first book in Finnish! :D

I agree wholeheartedly! No wonder the ficwriters usually assume Sinuous never died, or find a way to bring him back to life somehow. On the (somewhat) bright, at least Sinuous' death is avenged in the book.

Hey, that's great! :D Does that mean you won't have to order it from Amazon and wait too long to read it? What's the series called in Finnish, by the way? Is it the same title as the TV series? Because I know that the titles are completely different in Swedish.
