What happened to your MacBook? Or was it a iBook?

Reply

tl;dr it's basically broken. gemcitytiffany November 4 2010, 19:51:02 UTC
Ehh it was an ibook (circa like 2006 lol)
It *sort of* still works... but it has to be plugged in because the battery doesn't work and it can't be moved (hardly even touched...) the slightest too rough touch (which doesn't mean much) and it just shuts right off. The airport card shorted out also, so it has to stay plugged to the modem/router whatever... and it has to stay in the 2nd bedroom because we can't close it and any place else in the house, the cat will use the keyboard as his personal bun warmer...
I hate being in that room. It's isolated, messy, un-inspiring lol
So even if I can just score someone's shitty old lap top of craigslist for $50 or something... I just need SOMETHING I can curl up on the couch or in bed with. hah.

Thank you!!! My goal is to use this technique to do a chocolate/orange cake for a coworker who loves tigger! This was just in time :)

Oh wow, it looks really awesome! I love the colours of the illustration and the textured background, and the font, and the layout; it's really pleasing to look at. The only thing I noticed is that the main picture at the top looks fuzzy/low resolution, which I think stands out a bit when everything else around it is so crisp. Also (and this is also more of a personal preference thing, but I thought I'd throw it out there anyway), there are a lot of posts on the main page. I think blogs look a bit cleaner when there are 3-5 posts per page as opposed to 10 or more. However, I know some people do like to have more to look at in one go so they don't have to keep clicking back to see more, so...yeah. Personal preference haha :)

And I'm so stoked you're going to be doing tutorials! I'm a sucker for a good tutorial. I'm glad you started out with the zebra cake, because I'd been real curious as to how you did that. Do you think you'll do some video tutorials too? You could have your own baking show! I'd watch it.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. This is actually the best feedback anyone has given me. I swear to god I asked for feedback/advice/opinions on facebook and within 15 mins 3 people had clicked "like" on it and I was like WTF this does not help me!

I do with the graphic was a higher res!! I am going to try to find the original photo and try that again.

I also hadn't thought about how many posts show on the page but I would agree with you there as well :)

I might try my hand at some videos! It'll have to be something I'm really good at haha. It seems like every time I try to do a video, disaster strikes and things always go wrong lol.

Again though, thanks SO much for the feedback!

This is going to seem very out of the blue, but are you by chance the lady that posted on the ihearttattoos page, asking someone to get a Dr. Zoidberg tattoo on their foot?

I was directed to you, and I hope the information was correct.

If so, I would love to get it! I've been trying to find you for awhile, because I wanted to get proper permission and to show you once it was done.

If not, I'm sorry to bother you! You are adorable, btw. Happy baking!

Oh man! That was me! You are awesome. I had posted it there a long time ago because I thought it was brilliant and I already have solid plans for my feet so I can't do it.

I would LOVE to see it if you get it done!

Sweet! Do you still have a picture of it? I definitely don't have anything to work from other than my memory of "Holy shit that's hilarious! Want!"

I have no idea when I will get it, but I wanted to touch base because I finally found an artist I like, so I can actually plan.
