A few people commented on my last post, saying they've never made an apple pie from scratch. I wanted to remind everyone how easy it is :)

This was a post from last year... I'm just copy+pasting it to share again. Hopefully, I'll be making apple pies next week :)

oh my, that pie is making my mouth water. i am seriously going to do this now! however, i think that i am going to use prepared pie crusts...

Yeah, I've considered the premade crust, but I never remember to pick one up at the store!

Beautiful photos! I've helped my husband with pies before but I've always been so intimidated by the crust. His is always so flaky.

This one time, he made one where he used weed butter in the crust for my friend's going away party. He had me put it together and put it in the oven while he was at work. I did a lattice crust and ended up eating the scraps.
Big mistake. I was so wrecked that I couldn't go pick him up from work.
The pie was AMAZING, though.

bahahahahaha hilarious. I'm not AWESOME at making crusts, but I've never made a "bad" one. I did some wheat crust last week that wasn't AS good, but... it was wheat lol

I have these vintage crust cutter things for the top crust that were my Grandma's. They have cute shapes like little apple cut outs and one is hearts, I might even have one that is stars, like giant cookie cutters. They make pretty top crusts.

Oh no! I can't believe no one even asked last year!

it's abby ( ... you know... the awesome one) and i am thoroughly enjoying the dripping melty bit of juicy, buttery, spicy, appley goodness off to the bottom left - YUM! I am going to be making this on my next weekend available! Thanks so much!
