Standard sizing according to Gellar's Blue Book (fast becoming a standard for labor charges, much like auto repair, a 'labor quote' book), starts at $28 down, $39 up for a standard (less than 3mm) ring. The width categories are <3mm, 3-5mm, and over 5mm (5mm is a standard wedding band). There's an additional charge for each size after the first, taking into account the added metal (gold, platinum) and added trickiness of more sizes. It's mostly about the metal
