Well then, Britain.

Enjoy your warm ale, your new nationalist government, your tanked economy and your new status as an insignificant microstate (as soon as Scotland and Northern Ireland leave). 52% of you deserve it.

I heard that Wales might be considering a referendum to leave as well, so they'll be even smaller if it does happen. (I also hate to think about what this means for the EU/world in general)

but yeah...all the baby boomers can just fuck off and stop ruining our future.

On the age division going on, statistically education appears to have been a bigger factor in who voted for what. Tying into class issues and age, and of course previous politics on education, libraries etc. The older generation voted for what they know. Lack of education and media circus and a lack of facts didn't help them. Yes, i blame some of them. But not all and the blame doesn't rest entirely with them by a long shot. After all, it's political infighting as to why we even had a referendum. And going back before that things have been going wrong here for a while.

I get the feelings, i really do, but i'm scared of us coming out of this ageist as well as racist. And i'm scared that once again the media has a hand in directing this blame :/

What's the impact looking like in the other side of the channel? Or still looking at unknown unknowns?

British politics is a tyre fire right now. I'm glad I live in the country with a potential way out and led by functioning adults who at least planned for the worst case scenario.
