Palmer's sometimes hard to write because she's so... independent and always insists on keeping everyone at arm's length (which is probably why it took so long for her and Lasky do get to where they are now in my series) which can be really, really frustrating at times. (I understand that, though. It's something I sometimes seem to share with Palmer)

I got an understanding of Palmer from the comics; but I didn't understand Lasky until I saw Forward Unto Dawn...which just hit me with a plot bunny: Palmer meets Mehafey
