DEAR HOLY GOD IN HEAVENS. What have you just done??! This is completely unfair, how can you do this to my feelings? !!!!

I love this - even though it's much angstier than something I'd write (also, I tend to rescue Bucky from his Winter Soldier state of mind), but never mind all of that, I ADORE this. I love Steve's inner monologue, the way you wrote him as a smart man who understands the way world works - even if he isn't completely up to date; he understands how people work. And then all the hurt, all the little things you did here, Bucky who isn't Bucky, but there is still some Bucky in him and Billy Joel and Steve's uniform and the double vision thing and "she's going to the debriefing with me after all" - I loved ALL of it. Thank you so much for this little miracle of amazing writing! Amazing job with all the characters - I'll just sit here and bask in the wonderfulness of this!
