You did a wonderfully awesome job with Lasky's character here. His introspective mood is spot on...of course he would think of how he got there and the people who he's lost along the way. Oh, Halo universe, why you be so sad? ;_;

Of course, I love the nod to the end of Halo 4 (no surprise there) and, yeah, Palmer would be the one to drag him out to his own promotion party. (Because no one says no to Sarah Palmer. LOL)

Thank you! I was wondering why he'd be so determined to be so... thinky but I guess the promotion was just a kind of closure to his career. Or maybe rather a culmination. Either way, it seemed he really was in a very contemplative (also, very angsty and a tiny teeny bit of whiny) mood.

IKR? But then again... lots and lots and lots of fic opportunity for people who love writing drama and angst and stuff :D (like, you know, me).
