This is so lovely. I love getting to see this same scene from his POV. I'm developing a major weakness for Clint's POV I find, especially when he's talking about her. :)

Heh, thank you :D Clint was being a pretty stubborn bastard, though. For some reason, Natasha was a lot easier...

Also, would you mind if I friended you?

I completely understand about Clint being difficult. The very first fic I wrote for them (Equilibrium) I wanted to do a companion piece from Clint's POV, and he still won't tell me what he's thinking! Gah. That man. ;)

Of course! I might even friend you first. :)

I'm kind of relieved that you feel the same way, actually...

Friended you :D

Ooo, again with the taunt tension running all the way through this scene, sooo good. I love that Clint draws a dinstinction between types of waiting and how he doesn't mind Natasha watching him, and how she can learn to mimic so easily from watching, so deadly the Black Widow is. I adore this line and the sentiment behind it: If Natasha said it, must be the way to go. and I love that if she relaxed in his arms Clint would be alarmed, he knows her so well, and he like what he knows, he doesn't need her to be relaxed or anything, just herself. Fantastic fic once again :D

Thank you for the feedback! I'm so glad people like it because Clint really was a piece of work. And I didn't even push him towards confronting Coulson's death and his part in it, yet...

Sometimes when I read lines like this,

Because what he has with her, that’s something else entirely. Something deeper. Something better.

I wonder what people think love is. If they think it's a crush or infatuation or lust or greeting card verse, than they are calling something else love. But that's just me. I loved your interpretation of her words in her POV.

Other than that, I adored this piece so incredibly much. I love how Clint it feels and how it narrows our focus just like his. So well done.
