(Haha, not trying to convince you, just sayin'... I will say this, The Amazing Race is quite a few levels above the utter shit that is something like Big Brother, which I refuse to touch with a 10 foot pole)
Oh I know, I've seen a bunch of eps when I'm eating and the mom machine is watching it. It's just adventure shows are not my kind of reality show, I'm more into silly dramatic ~tarento competitions~ like designing, modelling, cooking, etc. :D
Also, I'm always mortified to see people from the mid-east area of Brazil embarrassing themselves on international television and giving the idea that everyone in this country is retarded like that. :D:; It's one of the problems of living a big big country where pretty much every region hates each other. :D/
Aaaah... yeah, I don't really have much interest in those. :D;;
TAR lets me indulge my OMG I WANT TO GO TO THERE *_* It helps that Phil is really cute and awesome and it's not as exploitative as OTHER reality shows.
I don't have cable (and basically I'm at work at primetime), but probably Lil' Sis end watching it, I can aks when is the weekend rerun and try to watch. XD;;
TAR! Though I haven't watched it since season 10 I think. *head desks* Was the Family Edition really that bad? I happened to miss that whole season so I have no idea how crap it was, but seems like nobody ever has anything good to say about it.
*goes to click on link then realises she doesn't understand a thing* ...Oops. XD
Yes, it was HORRIBLE... but ironically enough, the whole reason I even ever watched TAR in the first place is that one fine day, entirely by chance, I found out that that night TAR would air an episode where they visited Costa Rica. So I watched for the lulz of seeing gringos run around my country. It was family edition TAR. :D;;;
Bad as it was... I had no comparison point, and it sparked my interest enough that I watched the season after that... and have watched every episode since.
And then I went back and started watching old seasons ("SWING YOU FAT BASTARD, SWING!!" may be the best quote in the show's entire history... wait no, it's either that or "MY OX. IS BROKEN." :Dv). The only one I havent' see all of is the Romber season.
Anyway, the link is to the first ever Latin American edition of TAR, which starts on Sunday... but regular, Phill-tastically flavoured TAR starts the Sunday after that!
Lol, so I guess the only good thing about Family Edition TAR was that it got you interested in TAR eh. :D;;
I actually watched seasons 1-7, then strangely skipped 8 (fam ed) and 9, yet watched season 10. Tried watching 11 (all stars), but I think the fact that some of the contestants that annoyed me in the past were in this --- I really didn't want to take another season of incessant whining from Charla & Mirna --- so I gave up. Seasons after that, I think I just couldn't find any team I felt like supporting, plus it seems like I don't even really watch TV anymore so I always forget to catch the episodes on air. ^^;;
And "SWING YOU FAT BASTARD, SWING!!" wins hands down. XD
Yes I did, and it was an insane amount of fun... but then I got really ambitious in "episode summaries" and it led to me abandoning the whole thing. I should have kept it simple. :D;;;

I wonder which kind of tasks they'll have in Mexico City. xD

And yes. And it's on on Sundays, at 10 pm Costa Rica time (I think we're an hour behind you guys?)
One of the mexican teams is a gay couple, the other is a mother named Casilda and her daughter named Casilda. XD
