Fic: Memory, Awake (Rating: R)

Feb 12, 2005 06:31

Almost done with the mini-rant/mini-rave thing (which isn't very rantish, to be honest)--I only have one more to do, on either Crowley/Aziraphale or Snupin.

In other news, my beta finished beta-ing. Thank you, quinby.

The story combines three challenges from hp_literotica--an unsympathetic character (July 2004), cold weather (December 2004) and unrequited love ( ( Read more... )

Wow. Just wow. I would wait all year to have a fic such as this, a fic from you is always something to look forward to and you never dissapoint. You weave everything that I know about you and your HP speculation into this, taking canon and speculation and weave them into something new and wonderful.

Beautiful, and damn you! You've made me feel sorry for Peter! Again!

Post on hp_literotica right this minute!

whee! thanks! and you are now a pre-approved poster. I know it's wanky and anal of me to approve posts, but it pays off with the quality. :D but you won't have to worry about that any more!

::blushing:: Thank you. I'm never sure if anyone wants me to respond to what they say--in the first fandom to which I belonged, it was considered rude and a way of padding reviews to do so--but I am deeply grateful for what you said. And deeply flattered.

Oh, you're welcome! I don't mind when an author responds back to my comment. It's nice to know that it was received in the first place, as LJ sometimes doesn't delivers its comments on time. :)

That is *amazing*. Peter is an incredibly underused character, and here you've gotten inside his skin and exposed him to the pitiless light of the world--and gained him pity. This is amazingly beautiful.

*runs off to pimp*

No, thank YOU. It's incredibly flattering to hear that a story is fantastic from someone who's not a huge fan. I'm honoured, and greatly pleased.

Wow. Just... wow. I was a little confused at first, thinking that maybe it was Dumbledore, but then I realized it was Peter. And it's awesome. I mean, some of the imagery in the beginning of very Stephen King-esque and the rest? With Peter sacrificing his hand? Was just excellent. I hope J.K. Rowling somehow redeems Peter in the books.

Just one tiny nitpick: I thought Peter's silver hand was lost when Harry and Voldemort at their wand battle and all the spells that went through Voldemort's wand were being reversed? I remember the ghosts of all the people he killed with the wand, but wasn't the hand reversed as well? It's been a while since I've read it.

Thank you! ::blushing:: And yes, I hope that JKR redeems Peter as well. The poor fellow needs redemption. (Oh, no, I'm not at all bitter about Lord Voldemort, Lucius Malfoy, Bellatrix Lestrange and assorted Death Eaters, who act out of greed, sadistic cruelty, hunger for power and the wizarding equivalent of genocidal racism, being considered "cool" while Peter, whose default setting is fear, is universally vilified ( ... )
