Here's some more veilfic. Currently working on the scene following this, in which Erotomaniac Sirius appears onstage for the first time.

Whoa! I just finished reading the first part; now this. I am truly creeped out. I don't think I want Sirius to look in the pensieve.

This is a helluva alternative universe you've sucked me into. What's amazing is how believiable you're making the AU characters. I don't have a feel for Dumbledore yet, but your characterization of Snape is dead-on. He's one of the good guys in this universe, yet the tone of his speech, his sarcasm, says "Snape, Snape, Snape!"

What I love is how everyone's behavior is logical, based on the chacters as we know them in the original universe, had each person's life taken a different turn at a critical point-exactly what an AU's all about.

I'm looking forward to the next installment-with dread. EEEEEEEEEE!

I know what you mean. But you have to show the monster--or glimpses of the monster--at some point. Otherwise you're cheating the reader.

Dumbledore...you're right. He needs a scene of his own, in which his personality can come through more clearly.

I love writing Snape. Snape is fun to write, precisely because he's so intelligent and so snarky. I'm glad he sounds like himself.

What I love is how everyone's behavior is logical, based on the characters as we know them in the original universe, had each person's life taken a different turn at a critical point-exactly what an AU's all about.

Thank you!

I'm looking forward to the next installment-with dread.

I hope it will be just creepy enough.

Okay, cool, another section. I really responded to the Council's 'you must have encouraged it' thing - I'm writing a piece at the moment in my lj about atitiudes in the Ministry towards sexuality, and this struck a chord ( ... )

Regrettably, the "you must have encouraged it" attitude is prevalent even nowadays among law enforcement, lawyers and families of victims. Personally, I blame the way that love is perceived in Western society as consisting of the pursuer and the pursued--that you can make someone love you if you do enough, try enough, are enough.

And yes, I think that the Ministry of Magic is pretty backward. I'm going to be dealing more with law in wizarding society in Pro Bono Publico.

I want to hug Remus though. Poor man, he's been through so much, and he's not hardened like Snape.

He'd probably accept the hug, as long as you didn't look like Sirius. I give him a lot of credit for even being able to remain in the same room with Traveller Sirius. That has to be hard.

Basically, he's had all the sh*t of coming out in a wizard world that's about fifty ( ... )

*shudders* Really, really, really disturbing. I don't want to keep reading, but it's so compelling and written so well I'm not even allowed the relief of being jolted out of the story.

The weird thing is, I'm actually toning it down. Actual erotomaniacs and stalkers (some erotomaniacs are stalkers, but not all stalkers are erotomaniacs) have done things that are much, much worse.

And I'm glad that you find it compelling and well-written.

Well, it's supposed to be creepy, so if it is, I'm succeeding. Thank you.

This version of Snape is great fun to write. I'm glad you love him.

And I cannot wait to see what erotomaniac!Sirius is like (which sounds quite twisted, doesn't it?).

It sounds like you're curious. And I'm typing as fast as I can. Alt-Remus and Erotomaniac Sirius are not getting on well at all...
