*nods*

Very much agreed.

Also, I'm really glad you (apparently) have weathered the storm intact and with power.

Thank you. The storm stopped yesterday morning...but I couldn't bring myself to say that it had ended. It didn't seem possible, with all the pictures I was seeing of utter devastation.

RE: Mr. Romney, very much thank you.

Also, when you curse somebody, you don't fool around.

That's all Twistedchick. I'm just reposting her post with her permission because I SO agree.

Seconding smurasaki here, very glad to learn you have power and internet.

So am I. I didn't post yesterday because I was SURE the storm was going to circle around and bite the Northeast again. Half the storms around here do that (it has something to do with the topography of the area) and I figured it would be just our luck. Fortunately, I was wrong.

I wouldn't vote for him, but I wouldn't vote for either one, if given a choice.

Politics suck. Hey, news flash... it's all pretty much the same in the end.

I vote for for the lesser of two evils and hope for the best--despite all the vitriol. Ain't it great? :P I'd like to save my country from ignorant, stupid, bigoted men, but I haven't got much choice.

It's all politics. And politics suck.

I'm so glad that you made it through the storm. I kept my fingers crossed for you and all the east coasters I know, hoping that at the end of the day everyone would be safe. I think the election business will work out all right too. Just a few more days.

Hear hear!

I want to watch that man's concession speech. I want to see his face when he's finally told that there is something his money can't buy.

I've already seen something similar--the face of his running mate when Ryan was not only booed by a crowd of AARP members but, when he challenged them to come up with a plan better than his that would save Medicare, outsmarted by them as well. The pure shock in his face was priceless; you could see in his eyes it had never occurred to him that people who were over 65 and poor were intelligent. And these people came prepared. They had economic models and research and thorough explanations of how this could work. He was shocked and upset...and when he tried to shout them down, they shouted HIM down. Then he realized that someone was putting all of this on his/her phone...and I think one of his bodyguards tried to get the phone but failed.

And then, of course, something similar happened when Romney himself got booed at a meeting of the NAACP.

And then there's this charming description of the man by Judith Dushku--AKA the mother of the actress who played Faith on BtVS.

I asked him how he planned to address the recent ( ... )

Oh, that is just fascinating, and pretty much backs up all the misgivings I've had about Romney from the start.

And, oh, the Ryan AARP disaster? That was just priceless.
