It doesn't seem so. I just got all this drivel over with, and now I have to begin all over again.

Have you complained to your state legislators, or is that pointless? This is absurd.

It's pretty pointless. I used to work at the Capitol, and calls for the legislators never went to the legislators. The interns from various colleges handled the phone calls. In an emergency, the call was handed over to a secretary. In this way, the legislators were carefully kept from any contact with the people who had elected them.
