This is what needs to happen. The only real way it can end. I hope it is.

I really like this ending; ten to one it's a better one than we (or Peter) will get in canon. The last line, especially, is a heartbreaker. I also really like the traditional fairy-tale element: obeying orders to the letter but not the spirit.

Thank you. I wanted to make it a happier ending, but Remus simply refused to make up his mind. So I left it as it is.

And I can really see Voldemort giving a command like that to express total contempt for a foe, and it coming back to bite him.

I adore your Peter. He's understandable and, unlike so many other fandom Peters. I really wish something like this would be the ending, because Peter deserves to get some scemblence of a happy ending. He needs a cookie.

I love that this is about Remus and Peter and Harry is practically ignored sobbing on the grass. I love how Remus is so suspicious and harsh and so amazed.
