Fenrir is a wonderful, wonderful bad guy in some ways. He's so showing up in at least one of my fics, and believe me... Remus will be majorly creeped out- NOT overcome with lust. (I can understand the attraction to Lucius- especially movie!Lucius. But Fenrir? Can I just say, ew?
And the Dumbledore being dead thing kind of cracked me up. Not the fact he died, but the fact she really, really killed him. And that I'm sending Remus and Regulus after an artificat that belonged to Rasputin in Accidentally In Love ;) Seems like DD got ideas from Russia!

Good. Remus SHOULD be majorly creeped out. I would be, if I had to deal with Fenrir.

She really, really did. And even so, no one in the story wanted to believe it, no matter how often Harry said so.
There should be an icon:
"You're right.
"Dumbledore ISN'T dead.
"He's just pining for the fjords."
And that I'm sending Remus and Regulus after an artificat that belonged to Rasputin in Accidentally In Love ;) Seems like DD got ideas from Russia!
Must read this, too. Although honestly, I can envision Rasputin as a Dark wizard. Maybe one who used Imperius to spice up his love life...

Fenrir is largely why the Tonks relationship never even occurred to me to be bothering Remus at Christmas. During Christmas, we find out that Remus is living around a man who- if you want to extend the metophor- is basically a child molester, and Remus was one of his victims. And the guy obviously isn't repentatant at all. Right there, in that one thing alone, is enough of a reason for Remus to be incredibly depressed. God, that's got to be hard. It's why the whole Remus/Tonks thing bugs me some- both Remus and Tonks have GREAT reasons to be depressed that have nothing to do with each other, and saying it was because of each other (which JKR pretty much implied in her interview) just really makes them both kind of shallow.
Although honestly, I can envision Rasputin as a Dark wizard. Maybe one who used Imperius to spice up his love life...Exactly. (Well, it is Voldemort sending them, after all!) I'm kind of surprised Rasputin's never come up

So glad that I didn't hear that interview. See, this is why I refuse to consider interviews canon. They can be helpful, and even useful on occasion, but they can also be terribly illogical and contradictory.
Even if he has the catchiest villian song EVER in Anastasia.
I really like Fleur now. I love that she can simultaneously be so arrogant ("I am good-looking enough for both of us!") and loving (dabbing at Bill's face, standing by him). She wins a Weasley, definitely. And we know she's a competent witch.
You know, I thought of it before, but now I really want Peter to kill Fenrir with his silver hand. But I don't want him to save Harry, I want him to save Remus - you know, saving the life of the only other surviving member of MWPP.
Thanks for this, reallyjazzypomAugust 2 2005, 08:22:43 UTC
2. I didn't care that Snape didn't know that telling Voldemort the prophecy would lead to the deaths of James and Lily. First of all, he hated James. Still does hate James. So I'm not seeing vast regret at James's death. Second...I doubt Snape thought Voldemort would go to either the Longbottoms or the Potters, congratulate them on the births of their healthy sons and remind them that kind hearts are more than coronets.
So Snape is still culpable for telling Voldemort something that would get people murdered, whether he knew who the targets would be or not.
Thanks for this point. Really. In fandom's haste to crown Snape good, they overlook this important point (the whole Accio thing about Snape joining the DE's half heartedly makes me ill - it really dims the impact of his character when you think that way).
18. Fleur still has an annoying accent. But she has class. Loads of class.
Too true. All the women in the book (apart from Narcissa and Bella) annoyed me, but she annoyed me the least.

He could be, but there might also be another reason JKR chose that name:
A Possible RL Slughorn?
