Much harder.

Our privacy laws are so incredibly weak, and the PCC is so toothless, that you can pretty much only complain against a breach of privacy if you are the subject of the article.

Quite true, but the readership's inherent Britishness(tm) would normally get in the way of such nebulous allegations.

Personally, I'd lash the journalist to a gun-carriage and flay a retraction out of them; or at least an apology.
