So, it has sadly come to my attention that my dad is having more and more difficulty with his left arm/hand....he had to have surgery on his neck like 3 years back and the Docs kinda screwed it up and now he has like no musclture in the back of his neck which causes weakness there and in his arm/hand. Oh god I am sorry. The docs botched the original operation? Did your Dad ever pursue it legally?

Do you know if he's been to the doctor recently? At least to get it checked out, because if he's losing motion in his hand it would be better to know what's going to happen then have his hand just stop.

Have you talked to your Dad about it at all?

Nope he didn't because they flat out told him that if he sued, he couldn't get disability until the case was settled which could be years...which is sadly true....so the Doctor who admitted screwing up made sure dad got his disability in return for dad not suing.

And yeah, he's been...he thought it was maybe his carpal tunnel coming back and they told him it was due to his neck and the only way to fix it would be MORE surgery and even then they can't guarantee it would be fixed so dad said no.

Yep, talked to him and he says that I don't have to do it, that there's only weakness when he "over does it" and he'll be fine, but I still worry about him driving at night and such.
