Medical was quiet now, Chris was pretty sure she was the only one in the room. She didn't have a concussion and the doctor said the knot on her forehead should heal in a few days.

Michelle wasn't allowed in while they were being treated and Jack left too fast for her to even see him.

She walks into the room and looks at Chris.

"Chris?"

She rests her hand against her slightly rounded belly. "I know," she says quietly, lost in her memories for a moment.

"I thought it was over."

Chris nods, though she had never let herself hope for that much. "I was thinking of getting something to drink. Maybe see if there's anything good in the vending machines."

It'd be nice to sit down and have lunch, but she didn't know where Jack and, since she was already at work, she might as well stay.

"Sounds like a good idea," after feeling sick most of the morning, now she felt a little hungry.

"Chris, if I'm right, if this has something to do with...China," she takes a breath, "we might have to let the rest of CTU know more details."

Chris gets up from the bed and turns to look at Michelle, confusion on her face. "What do you mean?"

"We should talk somewhere a little more private," she lowers her voice slightly. "I'll explain what I mean as we walk."

"All right," Chris says with a nod, still unsure of what Michelle could mean. She's not sure if this mental fog is to blame on her busy morning or her lack of caffeine.

As they walk out of medical, Michelle fills Chris in on what she's been thinking about over the past few hours.

She doesn't know what she would have done if Chris hadn't survived.
