The Beauty in Skull Island

I meant to post this awhile ago and forgot.

Michael and I saw Beauty and the Beast a couple of months ago. At first, I wasn't sure I could get him to see it. I try not to drag him to see anything I know he might not like (we have a running joke about me making him watch Brokeback Mountain which he absolutely refuses to do.) We've watched Disney ( Read more... )

I can't wait for Beauty and the Beast to be released on DVD so I can watch it over and over again.

I had exactly the same experience with Beauty and the Beast. I dragged my reluctant husband to see it and then he absolutely loved it. He gave it his highest praise by saying it was one of the few films he didn't think was too long.

Glad you both enjoyed it too :)

I'm glad you enjoyed Beauty and the Beast :) I haven't seen it yet, but I have the exact opposite experience re: the original BATB film - for me, I remember watching it numerous times when I was younger, and even acting in the ensemble in a production of the musical in high school - so, needless to say, I'm very familiar with it XD

I need to watch "Beauty and the Beast" yet and I look forward to it. I love the original and the songs and I often sing them. I haven't watched it in full in a while either, but parts here and there on youtube and I have the soundtrack.

I think it is my favorite Disney movie. I could relate to Belle, her wanting to be more than just in this little old town, her love for books, and when the Beast gives her the gift of the library.

I totally agree with what you said about love on first sight. Here they really get to know each other and fear and hate from beginning turn to love. This is how it should be. We all should try to get to know each other and look behind the facade. There might be a human behind it.

Kong has Tom Hiddleston, right? Which would be the only reason for me to watch it ;) I saw a trailer a while ago.
