May I Join Your Pack? (Teen Wolf related)

Feb 01, 2013 01:33

I've finally taken the plunge and watched Teen Wolf. I'd taken a glimpse at the first episodes months ago, after that huge After Elton poll. While I liked what I saw, I wasn't in the mood to keep watching just then. (It didn't help that the first moment Derek showed up in the woods my boyfriend turned to me and was like "What is this Twilight?) But ( Read more... )

Ngl, I skimmed this entry & I'm just here to say that Suits is amazing! Harvey & Mike are pretty awesome bros; even though they've both been dickish to each other in one way or another.

But my fav. character is Louis Litt - he's smarmy & just plain disgusting when you first meet him but damn if the guy doesn't grow on you! Plus the guy's adorable, he thinks schmucks are 'smuks' & he always repays his debts cause he's a Lannister!

Point being, watch Suits for the pop-culture reference jokes ( re: I love the smell of litigation in the morning! ) & ignore the would-be romance they try to pawn off on you in regards to Mike & Harvey. Enjoy the side-characters cause when Mike & Harvey are busy actually being lawyers it's Louis, Donna, Harold & Jessica who save the day - you know cause a certain someone's brain is too busy being awesome. c ;

I have almost no willpower, so I probably will watch Suits at some point. I've seen the actor who plays Louis in other stuff before, and always found him entertaining, so I probably could like Louis, or love to hate him.

I never could get into Suits because of the basic premise and how impossible it is. But as for Teen Wolf ( ... )

Yeah, the whole abusive angle to Sterek is kind of annoying, too. I mean, sometimes it's funny but it would have to go beyond that to get into it.

I love Stiles and his dad. That's a real good relationship and feels really honest. I am curious about what Stiles' real first name is.

One of the funniest scenes ever in the show was Stiles showing up with those drag queens.

Teen Wolf is my go to show to be entertained without thinking to much. That summons it up: Eyecandy, witty dialogues, nice friendships, a bit of drama and I ignore completely the plotholes. Add homoerotic chemistry like *whoa* and I'm happy. Plus Sterek was actually the only slash pairing which sprung upon me directly. I can slash the others as well but these two are the ones who screamed hate!love from the beginning. Plus one of my favourite vids with them is the "After Elton" Ship video. It was teh best!

Suits I love sooooooo much! I liked the first season enough but I needed a second go before I fell head over heels. Sometimes it's love at second sight:) So I would say stick to it if the first episode doesn't convince you from the beginning.

Yeah, it is a good shoow to try and just turn off your brain and enjoy.

I'll try to give Suits a fair shot.

I just recently got into teen wolf too!

I need to watch both seasons again because there was a few things that diidn't make sense to me either, and I think its because they did draw things out a lot. So much so that you forgot what was relating to what, lol.

I didn't really have any idea about popular ships or anything before I watched; just kept seeing a bunch of pretty people appearing on my tumblr dash with a lot of tags about feels haha. But came out of s1 shipping Stiles/Derek a bit with no real definite reason why, I just liked their snarky dynamic. I went looking for fic and was expecting it to be a rare pair but woah was I surprised that its the most popular ship. I honestly don't get why its so popular, and thats from somebody who ships it. I'm disappointed though that 70% of Sterek fans seem to be batshit crazy and half the fic writers I don't think even watch the show they write them so ooc. But I think Dylan and Tylers chemistry and off screen bromance fuels half of it lol.

I think their chemistry is really good and I could probably go for reading some good Modern AU fics with them, because Tyler and Dylan are cute together, but right now in canon I don't see it.

I think all fanbases have their share of crazy fans.

Stiles is a pretty big hero. He reminds me a bit of Xander from Buffy. The one normal guy, amongst a group of extraordinary people, who still risks his life for his friends.

Hoechlin is definitely beautiful. I want to like Derek, and I do for the most part. But he's a bit underwritten and he does a lot of stuff that I really don't like.

Scott does take Stiles for granted a lot. That's definitely one of his flaws.

I don't really find Sterek that layered, at least not yet. It feels more right now like two people who don't like each other, who have a friend in common, so sometimes they save each other's lives. They are definitely really funny together and have a great adversarial relationship.

I think maybe Scott/Stiles isn't shipped as much because they just seem like bros. Kind of like Harry and Ron, who are the pairing I see least in slash Harry Potter.
