Yes, seeing Jack on a date would be absolutely hilarious. The sex was a good enough replacement, but I'd still love one of the team to randomly stumble upon Jack and Ianto at the movies or out to dinner. That would be so cute and so completely not Jack Harkness/Torchwood. We're yet to see Jack totally uncomfortable about something and I so reckon first dates with someone that he actually likes would be his Achilles heel.

Yes! I was saying to a friend last night that the thing I love about Gwen and Rhys are that they are SO real. I don't think I've ever seen a husband tell his wife to shut up angrily unless they were set up to be a bad character. And it does happen in real life! Which is the great thing about Torchwood; it may be utter crack but at its heart the characters are really realistic and just... sjfsafafgbgaf. I love it so.
I'm also seriously considering sending in a request for that Jack/Ianto/Gwen threesome.

I giggled and gahed like a little girl so much when I saw Jack and Ianto that Mum actually asked if I was okay. All she saw was he strange daughter smiling and laughing extravagantly at a laptop screen. Poor woman with her poor mixed up daughter.
I am so totally in love with ^ this icon by the way. I think Ianto/Gwen is now my only non-canon (but not really) ship. I am so in love with them.
