Call for bits and pieces of tech scrap

I would like to do ThisThe idea I have involves scrap circuit boards and cables. (and a drill, but I have that) If you work somewhere that you can pull boards etc that are going to get scrapped, please let me know. I don't need a lot, it's for a cradle, but wires, cables, etc are useful things for assembly. There will definitely be knitting.

i'm interested. it's unlikely i can sponsor the item, but i've got a spare powermac that is doing no one any good. ripping it to shreds would be fun. :)

will need to figure out how to get together, or get you the powermac (though i would like to help because destruction/creation is FUN). also, MIT has a 'reuse' mailing list where you could advertise for whatever parts you want, or see what's available on campus. people post a list of cruft and where they've piled it, and those that want it go grab it and post to say it's been taken.

i do have tons of vacation time, and taking a day off is not usually a big deal. i've got no car though. we'll figure it out.
