Girly

Dec 07, 2007 08:54

So after a month of looking at it in the store, I tried on and purchased my dress for the company christmas party. It's Verrah Girly

Even more girly were these shoes in red to complete the deal. Now I just need to figure out...dark tights or nude tights...and...necklace?

damagedmuse laughed at me for being "cute"

christmas, girly, dressing up

Dark tights, definitely. Nude tights might be a little to "girl child" rather than "riot grrrrl".

Necklace? Something really sparkly and choker-ish; either that or layer a bunch of pearly and sparkly necklaces.

I wanted some Heyooge red sparkly beads, problem is that all the ones they had there were pinkish and not reddish based. But we have a claires at the mall near by...mwahahaha.

I love the dress. And I'm glad it finally went on sale so I could talk myself into it :)

I was definitely thinking more the dark tights. And a big chunky red necklace. The red would go with the shoes :) Otherwise big black beads that match the piece on the ribbon. My final thought was possibly a thick black ribbon chocker with a nice big bauble on it. to match the ribbon around the middle.

Yeah, dark nonpatterened tights for sure -- I disagree about nude tights not being for winter (I have a great pair of wool rib tights that are nude, and aside from being so cozy I find the color to be unexpected on the knee with a black kilt skirt and knee-high boots. They also make me feel really 1940s) but totally not with that dress. And a pattern would be way too much with the plaid -- stompy boots, though, would be really fun.

You're going to have fun with this dress after the fact too, I can see it now. :)

Yeah, counting on how cold it is that evening I may wear my knee high boots, if it's not too freezing and/or icy, I'll wear the cute red shoes :) For they are CUTE!
