Drabble: 'The Moral Advantage: Damsel at Breakfast'

Feb 04, 2011 07:29

I am so behind in leaving comments, but mean to catch up this weekend, and post some new pics of grandson, too. In the meantime, with thanks to hereswith for beta reading, here's 200 words for the 'damsel' prompt...

William, tell me something. Have you come because you need my help to save a certain distressing damsel -or rather, damsel in distress... )

potc fic, jack-elizabeth, moral advantage

I'm not entirely clear what that last part means, but it's cute in any case (what else can it be with Jack around?)

The last bit, the "feet to the fire" thing, was in the first section of The Moral Advantage that I wrote. I'm glad you thought it cute, they are a cute pair. Thank you so much for commenting!

"She could not help laughing, but shook her head. “So it’s as you said: feet to the fire.”"

Love!

She *is* a distressing damsel.

Even if we don't translate the last part as the same allusion french , I understand the sense. It's a great sparrabeth story ..
May be you could write ... things occurs after that ?

I was thinking of doing that, actually. ;)

So happy you enjoyed, in spite of the glitch in translation. Thank you very much for commenting.
