Fic: The Moral Advantage: 'Saved' and 'Rough Weather' (4/? - J/E - PG-13)

Jul 18, 2010 18:04

More of that 'same story different version' I began last fall. I've been working on writing a fourth part of 'The Moral Advantage' for some time, and this week's drabble challenge prompt, 'Dive' and our favorite Royal Marines-turned-Pirates, Murtogg and Mullroy, allowed me to bring it to a conclusion. Many thanks to my dear hereswith for the beta help ( Read more... )

My goodness, thank you for taking the time to write this during your journey home, you really made my day! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and felt they were all in character.

I hope you had a fabulous birthday, btw, with lots of fun, family and friends.

You know I enjoyed this so much. I especially like the you included Murtogg and Mullroy at the beginning, and Jack and Elizabeth's talk about the compass, but the whole thing is lovely, as always. *hugs*

I went back and reread every part of this little saga, and just fell in love all over again. And this piece was just brilliant, the perfect one to fit the puzzle. And this...

“-freedom.” Elizabeth smiled.

Jack’s heart warmed. “You did remember.”

Warmed my heart. While I love the J/E angst, every now and then, a story like this is needed. I don't think they'd be all angst together. In fact, I think a good deal of a relationship between these two would be laughter and a surprising gentleness.

I'm sorry I've been gone from this fandom for so long. Silly True Blood and my OTP with it Eric/Sookie have kept me so distracted lately.

This was lovely!

Thank you so much! It took me ages to work out what would be just the right tone for the missing piece and I'm so glad you thought this part fit.

As for True Blood, my daughter ladymora is completely in love with it. I wonder if she's ever read any TB fic -- she was assimilated by the Star Trek fandom last year and reads and writes ST, I know.

With PotC4 coming out next year (and filming now -- squee!) I'm hoping the fandom will regain some energy. In the meantime, thank you again for your kind words, you made my day!!

Murtogg and Mullroy's banter is perfection! They are some of my favorites and you got them down pat.

Jack is making rather bold assumptions, isn't he? Arrogant pirate ;)

Not enough time... hehe

I'm glad they both know about the directional bents of that compass now in regards to each other.
