Can't wait to see the final product on you in three weeks! :)

It's coming along very nicely. Have you gotten your double stuffed yet? It'll look all the lovelier draped over a form, rather than a chair. :)

I haven't! I really should, but then I think maybe I should be sewing instead. I'll pick up some extra fiberfill next time I'm at the store, though. Always good to be optimistic!

Most sewing stores and many craft stores offer classes.... And don't feel bad if it takes a while to figure it out. I've been sewing for many years, but if I had to use something other than a Phaff, I'd likely just stare confused as I tried to figure out how to put the bobbin in. (For that matter, my mom's new Phaff has a drop-down style bobbin... I just can't make it work. It's front mount or nothing for me.)

That's funny. I really like that mine (top-loading bobbin) has a clear plate above it so I can see when the thread's running out. I like to have a little warning so I can swear less. It hurts the dog's ears.

Mine has an icon that pops up on the screen when the bobbin thread is about to run out. :) Mind you... I always try and squeeze a few more yards out of the thread than I actually have, and end up cursing anyway.
