I'm back from internet silence, and here's your update, written from methuse's office. I have some pictures I took during and after the storm, and I guess I'll post them where they belong in here, once they're a reasonable size.

Wow. Glad to hear you ugys came out all right. Your comment on holding the shutters down while your man dragged over some planters reminded me of one of my tornado experiences. While working for Cirque Du Soleil a few years ago, we had a tornado strike during a show (which we the ushers were unaware of). The managers came around and told us to hold the tent flaps down as best we could, so there I was, outside during an F4, trying vainly to hold down the doors, and getting lifted off my feet (mind you, I'm not a little girl). So I totally feel you on the terrors of being outdoors during a massive weather event! Hope everything comes together for ya soon, fucking FEMA...
